Sensory Vest and the Metaverse

Way back in 2015, neuroscientist David Eagleman shared in his TED Talk, that as humans, we perceive less than ten-trillionth of all light waves. “Our experience of reality is constrained by our biology.” To fix this, he’s creating new interfaces — such as a sensory vest — to allow us to take in and experience previously unseen information about the world around us.

I believe that when we combine sensory vest and other wearable technology with the metaverse, over time, it’s going to be more and more difficult to distinguish our virtual experiences from our real-world experiences.

How long will it take for this to happen? I’m not sure, but what I do know is that it’s slowly happening, in real-time and right before our eyes. Watch this amazing TED Talk video and then let me know your thoughts in the comments, or over in my private text community at 949-577-7456.
