We’ve entered what Dr. Drouin terms an “intimacy famine.”

This week’s guest is Alabama work comp lawyer, Bernard Nomberg. During this episode, Bernard pulls back the curtain and shares details about NFL players, injuries and work comp claims.
He answers these questions, and more:
NFL players can be injured or have their career end with one hit. When this happens, what rights do they have? Are their contracts and wages covered and if so, for how long? How about short and long-term medical benefits?
If you’re playing for the Miami Dolphins and injured in a game against Rams in Los Angeles, can you bring a work comp claim in California or, are you required to bring your case in Florida?
Who decides your care and treatment? What if you disagree with the opinion of the work comp doctor? Can a team owner override a doctor’s recommendation or opinion?
What about brain injury (CTE) cases. Are these covered under existing NFL work comp plans?
A related question I asked Bernard revolves around college athletes. Are they covered by work comp? If not, should they be?

Four Seasons Total Landscaping Trademark Issues with Trademark Lawyer, Stephen Stanwood
WHAT BUSINESS OWNERS NEED TO LEARN FROM THE RUDY GIULIANI “FOUR SEASONS TOTAL LANDSCAPING” PRESS CONFERENCE. What’s a Trademark and How Can You Protect Yours?
Please give this week’s episode a listen on all your favorite podcasting platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Soundcloud and Libsyn.
My guest this week is Stephen Stanwood, an Intellectual Property and Trademark Law attorney. The topic crystalized for me after watching the one and only Rudy Giuliani give his now infamous rant from the Four Seasons Total Landscaping parking lot in Philadelphia. You know, the parking lot between an adult book and sex toy store and a crematorium. Apparently he and others confused the name with another venue we all know as the Four Seasons Hotel.
In addition to giving me a good laugh, and I wasn’t alone– see this TikTok video I shared on Facebook, the confusion got me to thinking about whether or not “Four Seasons Total Landscaping” could even legally use the term, “Four Seasons” in its name without violating the intellectual property trademark rights of the “Four Seasons” hotel properties.
Is this OK? What are the laws? Can they use this name in creating and selling merchandise? How do the courts balance consumer confusion and IP violations in these types of cases? What are the damages, if any?
If you own a business, how can you protect your business name so that Rudy doesn’t show up unannounced? Just kidding but you know what I mean.
Stephen and I dive deep in this interview and I know we’ll add value to anyone listening.
Before you leave, make sure to watch this hysterical TikTok about the Rudy press conference rant– at the wrong place (seriously, I couldn’t stop laughing out loud).
If you think others will enjoy this show, please use the buttons to share our live and recorded show on social media. Thanks! Mitch

I’ve Started a New Weekly YouTube Show to Help Online Business Owners Start and Run Their Businesses Correctly. This Podcast Episode Shares the Details and First Episode Audio
Listen to this episode on your favorite platform on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play, Soundcloud and Libsyn.
My new weekly YouTube show for Online Business Owners is the “Online Business Show”
I created this new weekly show because before social media and digital, the typical small business owner was sued an average of 3 times during his or her lifetime. According to Forbes, between 36%-53% of all small businesses are involved in litigation during any given year, and 90% of all businesses are engaged in litigation at any given time. Because it’s never been easier, faster, and inexpensive to start a new business, I believe these numbers are only going to get bigger.
My name is Mitch Jackson, and I see people making the same mistakes, over and over, when starting and running their online businesses. If you’re having challenges with running your online business, understand that it’s probably not your fault. The fact is, much of the information and advice out there is inaccurate and wrong.
My new YouTube show shares weekly online “how to” business tips from some of the top experts on the planet. During our conversations, I also share my thoughts to help clarify issues and answer your online business questions. The goal of each episode is to give you the tools you need to make your online business successful.
To avoid missing any episodes, guests, and tips, make sure to become part of our community by clicking here and “subscribing” to the show on YouTube. Also “Click the Bell” next to the “subscribed” button to get immediate updates when I post new episodes.
Did I mention that “Likes” and “Shares” are appreciated too? 😉
Also feel free to stay connected with me on social media and, get show updates via text message or email. Yes, I promise not to waste your time and also to respect your privacy.
You can do so by text (send the keyword “Mitch” to 33222) or email by clicking here.
If you’d like to help me share the new show, the best link to share is http://OnlineBusiness.Show
Thanks everyone!

Haben Girma is the first deaf-blind person to graduate from Harvard Law School, and a leading advocate for equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
Several United States Presidents have praised Haben for her work and President Obama named her a White House Champion of Change. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had this to say about Haben:
“I wish to take this opportunity, as well, to recognize you for your lifelong advocacy for people with disabilities, especially for the deaf-blind community. As a teacher and Prime Minister, I am particularly grateful for your work to ensure that students with disabilities have access to the tools they need to thrive at school and beyond. When our society is inclusive, we are all better off.”
While Haben is busy traveling around the world consulting and public speaking and teaching clients the benefits of fully accessible products and services, today, she’s took a break from her travels and is joining us from San Francisco for this chat.
On a side note, we did the interview like most podcasts. The only difference was that Haben had an interpreter sharing my questions and comments with her through a special brail assisted device. Understanding that there are more than 1B disabled people worldwide, it’s important to appreciate how technology can bring us together regardless of where we are or what our disability is. Please connect with Haben via her website at HabenGirma.com
