“Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend.” -Theophrastus
I use dozens of tools each week to be productive, save time, and help me be a better lawyer. They allow me and my very talented team, to create an exemplary client experience and stand out above all the noise.
Full disclosure, I am a brand ambassador for several (but not all) of these services. I agreed to support what they’re doing because I like the products and believe people in my community will too.
With this in mind, here are seven favorites that make my life easier and better. Enjoy!
Ruby Receptionist
All of our incoming telephone calls are answered by professionals at Ruby Receptionist. Our incoming callers and clients love the personalized service. If you’re looking to connect with callers and grow your business no matter where you are or where you’re located, then all you need is Ruby and a cell phone (we use our office lines too). Ruby’s delightful receptionists, paired with their robust call-handling software and mobile app, turn incoming calls and your phone into a tool for attracting customers and creating raving fans. Calendly
Calendly allows me to quickly and easily schedule meetings without the back and forth hassle of emails or phone calls. When someone wants to do an interview or meet with me, I send them a Calendly link and let them pick a time and date that works with everyone’s calendar. For paid meetings and consultations, I include a link that allows the other person to pay for the meeting when they set an appointment. I then get an email letting me know the payment has been received and a new event calendared. It’s fully automatic and saves me a ton of time. All the features and options are here.
AgoraPulse
I use this powerful platform to create, schedule, and share content across all my social media platforms. One of my favorite features is the “Inbox.” When people comment or private message me on any of my social media posts, the messages are displayed on a single screen within the AgoraPulse platform. I can review, respond, and otherwise engage from one place without going to each platform. As you can imagine, for these reasons and more, it’s a huge time saver! Learn more about all the options and features here. (On a side note, I’m speaking at the AgoraPulse Agency Conference later this month).
Canva
We all need to easily and quickly create graphics and short videos for our social media posts. The Canva templates allows me to create perfectly sized graphics for almost any social media or marketing need. When you see me post a graphic with a social media or blog post, there’s a pretty good chance it was created, sized, and perfected in Canva. Get more details here.
LatelyAI
This powerful and game-changing artificial intelligence (AI) based service takes a single blog post, audio, or video and automagically creates and dozens of potential social media posts. One more click and everything gets scheduled to go out to your online audience. Another powerful feature is that it also allows you to create a transcript from an audio or video you bring into the platform. If you’d like to check out Lately, click here and use my name when you set up a free demo. I promise you’ll be taken good care of!
Clio
The Clio cloud-based case management solution allows me to run my law firm with ease. I can manage cases, organize contacts, automate documents, do billing, and stay connected with my clients from my laptop, desktop or iPhone. Two of my favorite things about Clio are (1) the 24/7 client portal and app that allow clients to access their case information and (2) the global community of lawyers who network and share referrals and ideas. If you’d like a 10% discount, message me with your name and email address, and I’ll make the introduction. More here.
TimeEtc Virtual Assistant
This is the virtual assistant service we’ve selected for our law firm and my personal services. Why? Because if Google, Skype, Facebook, and Marriott trust them, so can I when it comes to “everyday” tasks, including administration, organization, writing, marketing, social media, researching, selling, and so much more.
You might find it interesting to know that Sir Richard Branson’s former executive assistant designed the TimeEtc 10-step VA selection process. It’s so tough that only a fraction of those who apply make it through (something like 1 out of every 500). To learn more about TimeEtc or try the free service, I invite you to learn more or get started by clicking here!
OK, that’s about it for now. If you’re interested to see some of the other powerful platforms and services my team and I enjoy using, click here.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and make each day your masterpiece!
