I’ve been doing this ever since the first mobile phone rolled out years ago. It helps clear my mind, do some fun multitasking and get things done.
When I’m in depositions, hearings, or court, my team lets callers know I’ll be returning phone calls between 3-5 in the afternoon or maybe even 5-7 in the evening. Then, when my schedule allows, I’ll return calls while taking a late afternoon run or SUP (I use my AirPods). Mountain biking on the back trails, sitting in a jacuzzi, or just taking a walk, are also great opportunities to return calls.
When you do this, have fun. Let the other side know what you’re doing. When appropriate, joke around, give the other person a hard time for still being in the office and enjoy the process and conversation. Share your human side.
Returning calls during a late afternoon activity work well, and you’ll be amazed at just how many calls you get through if you keep things short and sweet.
Just don’t take or return calls while driving your car.
BTW, if you have any questions, call me. I’ll probably be returning calls between 3-5 today 😉

BTW, I used Quicc to auto caption this video. Click here if you want to try the service (yes, I’m a brand ambassador for the company but I only recommend services I believe in and use)
