Service Above Self on Social Media

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”  -Mahatma Gandhi

The Rotary motto is “Service Above Self.” It guides the daily habits of 1.3 million Rotarians located in 175 countries and 33,000 clubs worldwide.

When it comes to service, I believe our Rotary Four-Way Test has helped me make the right decisions since I first learned about it from my father as a young teenager. Although firmly grounded in the traditional offline world, I think the Rotary Four-Way Test applies, even more so today, to everything we all do online. Please take a look and tell me what you think.

The Rotary Four-Way Test:

Of the things we think, say or do

Is it the TRUTH?

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

I hope you find The Rotary Four-Way Test helpful in your social media decision-making process.

Yours in service, social and law,

Mitch
