This Periscope has absolutely nothing to do with law or business. But that’s OK. It does have everything to do with something much more important- family and life!
The surprise flash mob happened at a family wedding we were at this past weekend in the historical gold mining town of Sonora, California (starts at about 15:23)
Truly enjoyed being part of a fascinating panel discussion earlier today with Martin Shervington (Speaker, Community Builder, Blogger), David Amerland (Author, Speaker, Analyst), Jim Shankle (MBA Marketing Strategies and Harvard Business School) and others. We talked social media and entrepreneurship. Great way to start off another awesome Monday! #TGIM
Yesterday, Sue B. Zimmerman (The Instagram Expert) was on Tyler Anderson’s Casual Friday’s social media podcast which experts rate as one of the top 10 social media podcasts on the planet. I was honored to be on Tyler’s show last week (link here).
During the show, Tyler concurrently live Blabbed (real-time live video) his interview with Sue and many of us stopped by to watch. To my surprise, Tyler and Sue shared some very kind comments about how my firm is using social media to build relationships and show our “human side” on social. I have to tell you, these two very special people put a BIG smile on my face and I’m so glad our paths have crossed on the digital platforms. Without social media, we probably would have ever met and that would have been my loss.
Below is the portion of the show I’m referencing. And here’s a direct link to the entire interview Tyler did with Sue. You can connect with Sue B. Zimmerman on Instagram and also here at her awesome website and blog!
Attorney Ruth Carter and I crowdsourced ideas today on #Blab for our panel discussion at next month’s Periscope Summit NY (Live Streaming and Legal Issues Panel). Click here or on the image below to view today’s show.
At next month’s event, what legal questions or issues would you like explained and answered?
Earlier today I was contacted by Gwynne Monahan about writing an article for the American Bar Association Magazine and/or Legal Technological Resource Blog. Coincidently, I had just finished a draft of an article on the same topic yesterday evening and so I happily responded to Gwynne with two thumbs up.
Before finalizing my draft, I decided to walk my talk and use live streaming, and crowdsourcing, to add more valuable approaches and tips to the article. I schedule a Blab (the real-time video platform I used) and went live.
The feedback I received was amazing. Industry leaders and influences jumped on the live Blab and shared their great ideas in real time via video, in the comments, and in post-show emails.
I’ll be updating and sharing my article with Gwynne later this week but wanted to immediately make our Blab available to you. You can immediately use these great tips to jump start your mobile live streaming efforts.
By the way, it’s not too late to share your thoughts. Reach out here or share your tips in the comments below. I just may use them in my article!
